I found the tools are much more faster to load compared to the more complex counters without compromising the detailed information. You need to register first at www.sitemeter.com to open a free account. Of course, you may opt to upgrade to a more detailed version in their premium version (starting from $6.95 per month)
The only disadvantage is that you need to login to your account to get the detailed information on your traffic, rather than getting it on the site itself. However, SiteMeter will email details of your site traffic on weekly basis.
